Response Vehicles


Medic Units

Ford E-450's & F-450's.

In 2015, MRTSA upgrade the fleet with F-450, Type I ambulances. These vehicles are all equipped with four-wheel drive and air ride suspension. The new vehicles feature a brand new, high visibility digital design. The design was created by Bethany Donovan a local graphic desginer and Baldwin Township resident.

All MRTSA medic units are equipped with cutting edge technology including: mobile WiFi hotspots, cellular repeaters, GPS, Toughbook Mobile Data Terminals & Apple iPads.


Utility 780

Ford F-350

Utility 780 is an ALS licensed, specialized response vehicle designed to support EMS operations. The vehicles primary function is to provide fire ground rehab in accordance with NFPA 1584. Equipment utilized for these events includes tents, Kore Kooler chairs, misting fans, cases of water, HVAC & medical gear. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with rope rescue equipment, a stokes basket, 'over the hill' medical bag, Hazmat PPE, decon equipment, MCI and specialized patient moving equipment. Lastly, the Utility is also used by our tactical, technical rescue & bike medics.


Squad 780

Ford Explorer

Squad 780 is a "Quick Response Vehicle" utilized during daily shift operations. In addition to medical gear, the vehicle carries specialized equipment such as the Lucas 2, King Vision Video Laryngoscope & Rad 57.


Utility 483

Chevy 4500

Utility 483 is an Allegheny County Emergency Services vehicle that is housed at MRTSA and utilized by the Hazmat Medical Reponse Team.


"Peacekeeper"

Shacog CIRT

The Peacekeeper is housed at MRTSA and was donated by the PA State Police to Shacog CIRT. The vehicle is fully armored, equipped with a ram & capable of transporting up to 8 people. The Shacog Tactical Medics are led by MRTSA Paramedic D.J. Taylor.


480 HMMR- Trailer 1

The 480 HMMR Trailer is an Allegheny County/ Region 13 asset that carries equipment, PPE & mitigation resources utilized by the Allegheny County Hazmat Medical Response Team.
